World Health Organisation defines being overweight as a BMI equal to or more than 25, and being obese when a BMI goes over 30.

  • 25 – 29.5 – pre-obese
  • >30 – obese
  • 30 – 34.9 – obese class I
  • 35 – 39.9 – obese class II
  • >40 – obese class III
